William and Kate share backstage Coronation concert clip and secret after party

Prince William and Kate Middleton have given an inside look into what went on behind the scenes at the Coronation concert with a glossy video as it emerged they also hosted a secret-after party.

The clip was uploaded to the Prince and Princess of Wales' social media accounts just hours after they and their other royal relatives were treated to performances from Lionel Richie, Take That and Katy Perry at the Windsor extravaganza.

Little Princess Charlotte and Prince George also seemed to enjoy the show as they were seen waving their flags enthusiastically and swaying along in time to the music, the Mirror reports.

The princess was seen singing along to Katy Perry's Firework and Roar as the American pop star wowed the audience in a shiny gold metallic ball gown.

In the clip shared by William and Kate, the family are seen taking their seats in the royal box before the gig begins with the camera panning out to show hundreds of fans waving flags in the audience.

The clip also gives a glimpse into what went on behind the scenes as William took to the stage to pay tribute to his father King Charles during an emotional speech in which he said: "Pa, we are all so proud of you."

It also shows the incredible performances delivered by Take That, Lionel Richie and Katy Perry before ending on a sweet shot of the family all dancing together while waving their flags.

The slick video was shared as it also emerged that William and Kate hosted a secret after-party after the concert which was also attended by Prince Edward, Lady Louise Windsor and Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, who delighted royal fans with her dance moves.

The party was revealed in the Court Circular, a record of royal engagements, which stated: "The Prince and Princess of Wales this evening held a reception following the concert at Windsor Castle at which the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and the Lady Louise Mountbatten Windsor were present."

Olly Murs, who was one of the other performers at the concert let slip about the private after-party during an interview on Sky News as he revealed he had been invited to it but "he didn't know how".

It was a beautiful sunny day at Windsor Castle for the Coronation Concert with cheers from the crowds lasting all day through to the night during the star-studded show.

The Coronation festivities will continue today on bank holiday Monday to celebrate King's coronation with the Big Help Out which is billed as a lasting volunteering legacy to mark Charles' crowning.

The King and Queen will not make a public appearance today but other royals will be out and about with the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester visiting the Coptic Orthodox Church in London where young volunteers will be hosting a coronation street party.

Prince Edward and Sophie will be taking part in a puppy class at the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association Training Centre in Reading.

The Big Help Out day is set up by The Together Coalition and partners such as The Scouts, the Royal Voluntary Service and faith groups from across the United Kingdom.
