Prince William and Kate Middleton are looking into a new prep school in Berkshire for Prince George it has been claimed.
The Royal couple are reportedly putting the finishing touches to plans to move Prince George to a preparatory school in Berkshire.
The move is expected to happen in the autumn with September earmarked as the favoured date.
Co-educational school Lambrook, near Ascot, is believed to be the front runner.
But six-year-old Princess Charlotte is expected to stay at Thomas's Battersea at the moment and is "super happy and settled" reports claimed.
Prince Louis, who is four in spring, will join her at Thomas's in the future
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are looking at properties in the Windsor area after viewing suitable family homes on the Queen's Berkshire estate, reports Daily Mail.
They are expected to live in the Royal Borough at weekends and holidays.
The Windsor location is near Kate's family home in Bucklebury where her mum and dad Michael and Carole Middleton enjoy being hands-on grandparents.
Royal watchers say the couple's weekday base will, however, remain Kensington Palace.
Anmer Hall, their Norfolk home, could then return to the Queen to pass on or rent out privately.
William and Kate are now mapping out where they want to settle down as a family.
But it could be 20 years before the couple progress to the throne and they are keen to give their children as normal childhoods as possible before that.
They royal couple have a comfortable home-office arrangement at Kensington Palace and are said to be conscious of the £4.5million cost to taxpayers of improving their 20-room apartment
George will be nine in July, but Kate and William believe he should move to an out-of-town school with facilities on campus.
Schools, either weekly or 'flexi' boarding are reported to be being considered with Ludgrove among the Berkshire schools which has been mooted
Windsor Castle has repotedly been earmarked for the Cambridges instead of Prince Charles who is said to prefer Highgrove.
William often walked from Eton to have lunch with his granny at her Berkshire residence.
The Daily Mail reports a source saying: "It's an open secret the Cambridges are looking to settle in Berkshire and George is set to leave Thomas's this summer, unless circumstances suddenly change.
"It's the talk of the county and they will, of course, be made extremely welcome.
'"they always put their children front and centre of everything they do, so finding the right school has been a priority. It's about what works for them as a family."
It is claimed no 'firm decisions' had yet been made.
