The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has clarified that using E20 (20% ethanol-blended) petrol cannot be grounds for rejecting an insurance claim. The statement comes amid growing concerns and misinformation surrounding ethanol-blended fuel.
Recently, the BJP shared a post on X encouraging consumers to adopt the fuel confidently, stating, "use E20 without any worries," and adding that "the claim that using E20 petrol will lead to insurance claim rejections is completely false" and "no insurance claim can be rejected solely on the basis of using E20."
