When the Selling Sunset reunion premiered on Netflix back in 2022, the first-of-its-kind special gave fans a new perspective on the Oppenheim Group staffers.
The mention of Jason Oppenheim and Chrishell Stause's split brought the multi-millionaire to tears while sitting amongst his employees—something we were definitely not expecting to see from the real estate mogul. The women of the office got candid not just about their professional lives, but their personal lives, particularly regarding fertility struggles. Plus, a no-show spoke volumes: Christine Quinn left Selling Sunset without so much as a goodbye, and her absence at the season 5 event was palpable.
"Right now, there’s not a place for her at the Oppenheim Group," Oppenheim revealed.
Needless to say, the catch-up was as emotional as the brokerage's listings are spectacular. Now that Selling Sunset season 6 has officially arrived and we're in the midst of making our way through each episode—just kidding, we binged it all in one sitting—we're curious to see what happens next.
Will we get a Selling Sunset reunion for season 6? Here's what we know.
Will there be a 'Selling Sunset' reunion? Season 6 updates and intel
At the time of publication, Netflix hasn't shared any information about a potential reunion, and we haven't heard anything from the cast members, either. However, sources claim that filming is currently underway for Selling Sunset season 7, which began in early 2023. In a sense, that means we do have more drama to look forward to. Although premiere dates have yet to be revealed, we're hoping for a late 2023 arrival. (Perhaps your Christmas present to us, Netflix?)
We did receive the tiniest of glimpses of the next chapter at the end of the sixth season, but it looks like matters only get more dramatic from here on out: Chrishell Stause and Nicole Young are still fighting, and it seems like that listing from three-plus years ago is the least of their problems. Emma Hernan is even throwing digs, suggesting that an anonymous co-worker (likely Nicole Young) is about as real as the meat in her empanadas. (Ouch!) Well, maybe Bre Tiesi and Chelsea Lazanki cleared the air, at the very least And we can't forget about that BDSM-esque event (or listing?) the crew ventures into at the start of the teaser. What's going on there?!
Considering the shenanigans are seemingly still underway, we're going to keep our eyes on the prize: season 7. In the meantime, we'll just have to busy ourselves with another reality TV reunion: the three-part Vanderpump Rules reunion hits Bravo on Wednesday, May 24, and though we can't make any promises, we're willing to bet #Scandoval is far from over.
Selling Sunset season 6 is now streaming on Netflix, as are the first five seasons of the series.
