Will Smith raises hand to Spanish TV host who was being flirty with Jada

Will Smith once pretended to raise his hand to a Spanish TV host over wife Jada.

The Fresh Prince star is the name on everyone's lips at the moment after the Oscars on Sunday night.

Of course, it wasn't Will's Best Actor gong for King Richard which got people talking, rather the moment he walked on stage and slapped host Chris Rock.

Get Hard actor Chris had joked about Jada Pinkett Smith's buzzcut, saying he was looking forward to "GI Jane 2".

Will, 53, took offence because Jada has been vocal with her struggles against alopecia for years.

But in this old footage which has been unearthed by the Mirror, he's seen pretending to smack another presenter, this time Spanish host Pablo Motos, while saying "careful with what you say to my wife".

In the video, Will is seen standing with his arm around wife Jada, 50, and eyeballing Pablo as he issues the warning.

Pablo, who presents popular Spanish show El Hormiguero, was about to start complimenting Jada on her beauty and professional success after giving the couple’s son Jaden advice on making it in the film business.

But he didn't manage to get his words out, with Will lifting his hand and barking in Spanish: "Pablo, be careful with the words you use for my wife, okay!"

He then motioned to the host to start talking while stretching his neck forward to show him he would be listening very closely to every word he was saying.

Will replied: "Very good, very good", as the Spanish star said he was not surprised at actress Jada’s success in Hollywood before telling her she was beautiful "outside and in" after her husband had warned him again by saying "Cuidado, cuidado" which in English translates as "Be Careful".

The TV moment - first broadcast on August 26, 2010 - finished with Pablo hugging Jada before doing a high five with Will.

So this time round, dad-of-three Will was just messing about.

But social media users are viewing the clip with fresh eyes after Sunday night's drama.

It resurfaced hours after Ukrainian reporter-turned prankster Vitalii Sediuk spoke about the moment a decade ago when he was pushed and given a backhanded slap to the face after he hugged and tried to kiss Will on the red carpet at a premiere in Moscow.

Spanish film lover Toni Morejon said of the old footage filmed on El Hormiguero: "Will Smith already warned Pablo Motos way back what could happen to him" before finishing his tweet with the hashtag #Oscars.
