Will Smith has responded to Rebel Wilson after she made a controversial joke about his marriage at the Baftas.
Smith, 53, won the award for best Leading Actor for his role in King Richard, a biopic about the father of tennis stars Serena and Venus Williams, but he was absent from the ceremony.
Joking about Smith’s win, Bafta host Wilson said she thought his “best performance in the past year was being OK with all his wife’s boyfriends”.
She said: “I thought his best performance over the past year was being OK with all his wife’s boyfriends.”
When the crown groaned, she said: “Come on, he never showed up!”
Now Smith has shot down the comments by insisted there has “never been infidelity” in his marriage.
Speaking on CBS Sunday Morning, the actor added: “There’s never been infidelity in our marriage. Never. Jada and I talk about everything, and we have never surprised one another with anything ever.
“I have decided that chatter about my life can be of a benefit to people. I think that chatter is the first stage to having a real conversation and being able to truly explore if some of the things in your heart are loving, or poisonous.”
Smith’s wife Jada has been open about having other sexual partners during their high-profile marriage.
In 2020, she revealed she had an “entanglement” with singer August Alsina.
