Royal Mail workers will take industrial action on ten days in November and December over disputes with pay, jobs, and conditions.
Among those taking strike will be the workers who collect, sort, and deliver parcels and letters. Because of this, there are concerns that people's parcels will not be delivered over the Christmas period - when the Royal Mail has an extremely high demand.
Despite this, Royal Mail claims that while there will be descriptions, they have "contingency plans" in place to help minimise any problems.

On its website, Royal Mail said: "Royal Mail has well-developed contingency plans, but we cannot fully replace the daily efforts of our frontline workforce. We’ll be doing what we can to keep services running, but we are sorry this planned strike action is likely to cause you some disruption."
Further explaining what will happen on the strike days, Royal Mail clarified that it will deliver as many Special Delivery and Tracked 23 parcels as possible while prioritising the delivery of COVID test kits and medical prescriptions.
On strike days, however, letters will not be delivered unless they are covered under Special Delivery. Royal Mail has advised its customers to post their items as early as possible in advance of the strikes days while continuing to post their items at Postboxes or Post Offices - it's important to note though that collections will be less frequent during strike days.
Strikes are due to take place on:
