Last week, Falcons fans couldn’t stop dunking on Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio for suggesting that Kirk Cousins and Kyle Pitts were discussing who would wear the No. 8 if Cousins signed in Atlanta. Even Pitts questioned the report, but it may have been right all along.
On Monday, the Falcons and Cousins agreed to terms on a four-year, $180 million contract with $100 million in guarantees. Not long after the deal was announced, Pitts tweeted out a picture of himself wearing his college No. 84 uniform.

Cousins has worn the No. 8 for much of his career, and it sounds like he’d prefer to wear it in Atlanta. Pitts later asked if anyone could mock up some uniforms of him wearing both numbers with “Pitts Sr.” on the back. Fans on Twitter happily obliged:

The Falcons added another tight end to the mix on Monday, signing Charlie Woerner to a three-year deal worth $12 million. Woerner is set to replace Jonnu Smith, who was released by the team in February.
