Everton got back to winning ways at the weekend after their 1-0 victory over Manchester United. Anthony Gordon’s deflected effort in the first half was enough to secure all three points for the Blues at Goodison Park.
The result, combined with Burnley’s defeat to Norwich a day later, leaves Everton four points above the bottom three with eight matches left to play. Frank Lampard’s side will have to wait more than a week for their next league match, which is against Leicester City next Wednesday, April 20.
After that, the fixtures for Everton include the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea, Watford, Brentford and another clash against Leicester. Other relegation-threatened clubs such as Burnley, Watford and Norwich are all in action again before the Blues next play.
