Will Cedric Tillman play today? Injury updates for Browns WR

As the Cleveland Browns take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 15, wide receiver Cedric Tillman has still yet to clear the concussion protocol. He will miss his third straight game.

Quarterback Jameis Winston will once again have to rely heavily on wide receivers Jerry Jeudy and Elijah Moore to get the job done. Tight end David Njoku is also listed as questionable in this Week 15 showdown, so the job gets tougher for Winston and the Browns.

Let’s turn the page back to Tillman, however. So what is the latest on the Browns’ wideout? We’ve got you covered.

Cedric Tillman injury update

Picking up a key third down conversion against the Steelers in the Week 12 win, Tillman took a shot to the head. He was immediately ushered to the sideline. In the protocol longer than most, Tillman has still yet to clear the concussion cadence.

Tillman, however, did return to practice this week, getting one step closer to clearing the concussion protocol and returning to the field with now just three games left in the Browns’ abysmal 2024 season.

How long will Cedric Tillman be out?

There is a hope that Tillman can make his return next week as the Browns take on the Cincinnati Bengals on the road. Sitting at 3-10 on the season, getting the chance to evaluate young players on the field, like Tillman, is crucial for the Browns.

Browns wide receiver depth chart

Jeudy sits just 56 yards off of 1,000 yards this season for the Browns, and with Tillman and potentially Njoku out, he will certainly see the targets to make that happen against the Chiefs. He currently sits fifth in the NFL in receiving yards this season.

Elijah Moore also hopes to keep up his positive trend since Jameis Winston took over as quarterback. The likes of rookie receiver Jamari Thrash, as well as 2022 fifth round pick Mike Woods II round out the Browns’ wide receiver room after waiving former first round pick Kadarius Toney this week.
