Indianapolis Colts’ left tackle Bernhard Raimann exited Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills with a knee injury in the first half and did not return.
Raimann would not practice at all during the week in preparation for the Jets, but was seen at Friday’s practice with a brace on his knee, according to The Athletic’s James Boyd.
Bernhard Raimann injury update
Following Friday’s practice, head coach Shane Steichen ruled Raimann out of Sunday’s Week 11 matchup with the New York Jets.
How long will Bernhard Raimann be out?
Steichen would add that Raimann is considered week-to-week right now and that the injury isn’t long-term. As of now, we still do not have specifics on what the injury is.
Colts offensive tackle depth chart
With Raimann out, presumably we will see rookie Matt Goncalves at left tackle. He filled in on Sunday when Raimann exited the game and against Minnesota when Raimann was out with a concussion.
In his two appearances the last two games, Goncalves has been credited with allowing six pressures and three sacks, according to PFF, along with being penalized once.
This past Sunday specifically, it was Goncalves who was beat by Bills’ edge rusher Greg Rousseau on the play where the ball was knocked out of Joe Flacco’s hands and resulted in a fumble recovery for Buffalo.
The Jets’ defensive front will enter this game ranked sixth in ESPN’s run-stop win rate metric and 23rd in pass-rush win rate.
