Wrexham have finally ended their agonising 15-year exile from the Football League by clinching the National League title courtesy of a comprehensive win over Boreham Wood.
The Dragons have become a global sensation since they were purchased by Hollwood megastars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, who have documented their ownership of the club in the popular Disney+ show 'Welcome to Wrexham'.
After guiding Wrexham back into the EFL, attention will now turn to what's next: including the future of veteran goalkeeper Ben Foster.
Foster hung up his gloves last year after leaving Watford last summer, but his decision to come out of retirement following an SOS call from Wrexham in March sent shockwaves through football.
And the 40-year-old has more than played his part in the club's fairytale promotion story, with his dramatic last-gasp penalty save in the six-pointer against Notts County over the Easter period putting the Dragons in pole position to win the league.
However, it remains to be seen if Foster will once again call it quits once the celebrations in north Wales have died down. The shot-stopper signed a short-term contract until the end of the campaign, but the prospect of playing for Wrexham - the club who handed him his senior debut - in the football league could be too enticing to turn down.
Foster told ESPN earlier this month: "I was really happy having retired, but I would only come out of retirement for Wrexham - genuinely only for Wrexham.
Join the debate! How far do you think Wrexham can go under Reynolds and McElhenney following promotion? Let us know here.
"The reason why I came back is because I know the club and I do owe so much to them for what they did to me. They give me that springboard to start my career and show what I can do. And then I got the move to Man United off the back of my initial run here. So it's where it all started for me."
Foster himself has stressed that securing promotion was the only thing on his mind and that he "didn't have a clue" whether or not he would commit to another season at The Racecourse.
Speaking after promotion was secured against Boreham Wood, Foster remained coy, but did heap praise on the club's vociferous home support: "This club is different. That is very special."
If he can be persuaded to stick around for a big longer, it would certainly be a popular on with Reynolds and co, who shared his adulation for the former Manchester United man after the dramatic Notts County win.
And the veteran has quickly become a firm favourite with the playing squad, too. Speaking before the big match against Boreham Wood, Wrexham defender Jacob Mendy hinted that the dressing room would welcome the prospect of playing with Foster for a bit longer.
Mendy told Mirror Football : "He's one of the big characters in the changing room; that says a lot about how good he is with people when you consider how long he's been here. From day one, it was clear how professional he is. He's quality, but he's a real role model; he arrives early, pitches in with everyone and he's always helpful on the pitch."
