Shoppers have been raving over a "super cheap" household item that has helped them to effectively get rid of grease and grime from their air fryer.
The nifty kitchen gadgets have quickly become the most 'in-demand' item over the past year, as households look for ways to cut back on their energy usage during the cost of living crisis.
While they are said to be considerably cheaper to run, they can, like many household items, become quite grimy after cooking greasy items over and over again. Which is why it is good news that shoppers have discovered a £1.75 product from Wilko that can help get your air fryer sparkling and clean again.
One shopper took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Group on Facebook to rave over a cheap box of Bicarbonate of Soda that she says has been a "game-changer" for anyone with an air fryer. She said: "A game changer for me if uve got an air fryer and you can’t get grease of basket put some over basket and add boiling water and leave to steep then wipes straight off I was really amazed."
As reported by The Manchester Evening News, the best value bicarbonate of soda on the market is a 500g box for £1.75 from high-street retailer Wilko. The retailer is currently offering a three for £3.50 offer on the product, so each box would only set you back £1.17.
Shoppers quickly flocked to the comments section to agree with the original poster, with many hailing bicarbonate of soda as "the best thing since sliced bread" when it comes to cleaning.
"Bicarbonate best thing since sliced bread got a big bucket I use it for everything", raved one.
"Put it with white vinegar, even better", commented a second.
"Best cleaning product around. Makes light work of oven doors", replied a third.
"I buy this from Savers - super cheap and multi purpose. Blocked drains - add vinegar, fridge and washing machine clean", added a fourth.
"Oooo thanks for this, I really struggle to clean mine!", replied a fifth.
