Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha has deleted a brutal response he posted on social media following Chelsea's win at Selhurst Park.
The Blues came from behind to win 2-1 against Palace after goals from summer signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and ex-Eagles loanee Conor Gallagher cancelled out Odsonne Edouard's early opener. Christian Pulisic's impressive cameo will have put him in Graham Potter's plans for the busy fixture schedule throughout October after the American winger revealed his 'excitement' for a fresh start under the new head coach.
Reece James sent Zaha a cryptic dig following Chelsea's win as the 22-year-old defender played a pivotal role in Potter picking up his first win as Chelsea boss. In a past interview with the in-house Chelsea media team, the England defender named the Palace talisman as the toughest opponent he has ever faced.

Following the win, James posted a picture of him getting the better of Zaha during the game and alongside it an emoji of a padlock, suggesting that he had the Ivorian winger 'on lock' and kept him quiet during the game. Zaha didn't take too kindly to this post and quickly fired a brutal response via his Instagram story, before deleting the post later on.
Taking to social media, Zaha responded: "Clouts a hell of a drug lol But yall be safe."
The Palace star's message would suggest he is warning James that his performance shouldn't go to his head, despite Zaha later deleting the post. The 29-year-old has been the star man for Palace this season, scoring four goals in six appearances, but he was largely ineffective thanks to James' impressive performance.
Zaha had been linked with a move to the Blues over the summer and a deal could be revisited in January with the Ivorian winger's contract set to expire next summer. Chelsea earned their first win under Potter as they now turn their focus back to Champions League action with a huge clash against AC Milan at Stamford Bridge up next.
