Wilfried Gnonto has admitted that it is a "pleasure" to play alongside Tyler Adams at Leeds United as the midfielder gives him the confidence to play with more freedom.
Both Gnonto and Adams arrived at the club in the summer transfer window under then-Leeds head coach Jesse Marsch. The pair have taken no time at all to transition into the squad's set-up and have impressed on numerous occasions this season.
A hamstring injury suffered in training has ruled Adams out of international duty with the USA, with fans hoping he will be fit in time to return against Arsenal. Gnonto meanwhile has been called up to represent Italy during their European Championship qualifying matches, making an impressive 20-minute cameo during the 2-1 defeat to England on Thursday night.

Ahead of the game against the Gunners, the Italian has now admitted that having Adams in the side allows him to take more risks without the fear of losing possession due to the American's ability to snuff out any danger.
"I feel better because when I lose the ball I know that he’s there," he told the Premier League's YouTube channel. "So I’m like: ‘oh yeah, he’ll take it’. [It's] a pleasure to play with him."
