- A man has died after being mauled by a tiger when he entered its enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park on Saturday afternoon.
- Yorkshire Wildlife Park confirmed that the tiger, named Altai, is “safe and well” and will not be euthanised following the attack.
- Eyewitnesses reported seeing the man dancing with his AirPods in and appearing to be “psyching himself up” before entering the pen.
- Emergency services attended the scene shortly after 1:30pm, but the man was pronounced dead due to severe injuries.
- The park was evacuated following the incident and remained closed for the remainder of the weekend.
