Victoria Beckham was spotted posting a comment on her son Romeo's ex Mia Regan's Instagram post this week.
Posh, 48, showed her support to the 19-year-old model, despite her split from Romeo, 19, earlier this month following the three year romance.
The Beckham matriarch posted the comment under Mia's latest Instagram upload. The comment read: "Beautiful x kisses x" followed by a pink heart emoji. To which Mia replied to with two yellow heart emojis.
Victoria's affectionate comment baffled some fans with the comment, despite Romeo and Mia's break up.
But, a source has now claimed that Victoria wants to keep Mia on side and plans to continue working with her to promote her VB brand.
While Victoria also reportedly hopes to build a "Kardashian-style empire" with her sons and their partners.
The insider told heat magazine: "The breakup is yet another hurdle in Victoria's dream to build a Kardashian-style empire."
And with her eldest son Brooklyn's recent wedding to Nicola Peltz Beckham, Victoria had also reportedly hoped Romeo would soon pop the question to "perfect girlfriend" Mia.
The source went on: "Somewhere her head, she was already in a momager-like scenario with the girls, helping them managing their images and personal brands. Vic is way more like Kris Jenner than anyone realises."
However, Victoria's hopes have "all been crumbling" with Romeo's split from Mia.
Victoria and Mia are said to have had a close bond as the former Spice Girls star took Mia "under her wing" as she did with all of her son's girlfriends.
The source added that Victoria's bond with her son's partners is to "check out the girls" and "ensure they could be trusted in the family" and not just looking for fame.
She is also said to be keen to make sure that any girl the boys bring home are "a good fit for the family".
And it appears Romeo's ex Mia also adores Victoria as the source said: "Mia worships Vic and takes all her advice. Mia thinks Vic is a superwoman. She's her hero – and Posh lapped it up."
It comes after source claimed Mia and Romeo had parted ways to the pressure of their conflicting work schedules.
A source told MailOnline: "Essentially the long distance relationship at their young ages took its toll.
"Romeo and Mia are both lovely young people, they're very fond of each other and the family love Mia.
"She's continuing to collaborate with Victoria Beckham through her work, but sadly Romeo and Mia aren't together anymore."
Romeo is based in Florida as he's playing as a midfielder with Inter Miami II, while Mia is primarily based on London.
