The Giants are shaking things up following their 3-2-1 start to the 2026 season.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler first reported that New York plans to start J.J. McCarthy at quarterback this weekend against the Texans. Veteran Jameis Winston had started the previous four games after Jaxson Dart sustained a season-ending knee injury in Week 2. After Winston was benched in the second half of Sunday’s loss to the Saints, the Giants will now turn to McCarthy under center.
