Why Newcastle United vs Southampton isn't on TV, kick-off time and how to follow it live

The games are coming thick and fast as Newcastle United's march towards a Champions League place continues apace. Fresh from goal-laden wins over Tottenham Hotspur and Everton, the Magpies host bottom side Southampton at St James' Park today.

The Saints' hopes of avoiding the drop into the Championship are fading by the week and while they were encouraged by a 3-3 draw with Arsenal - after leading by two goals twice - they lost 1-0 to rivals Bournemouth on Thursday night in a result which many feels condemn them to relegation.

Manager Ruben Selles has vowed not to throw in the towel however, and Eddie Howe will be wary of an upset this afternoon. The Newcastle head coach must make some big decisions over his starting XI, with Jacob Murphy, Alexander Isak, Dan Burn and Anthony Gordon all pushing for a place. Here's all you need to know ahead of a big day of Premier League action.
