Scholes slams Rashford

Former midfielder Paul Scholes has hailed Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag's honesty after making the decision to drop Marcus Rashford to the bench for Saturday lunchtime's clash with Wolves at Molineux.

Rashford, who scored his 10th goal of the season in all competitions against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday evening, was axed from the starting line-up because of an 'internal disciplinary' issue. Details of what the attacker has done to warrant such discipline have not been confirmed.

The England international has been revitalised by Ten Hag this season, playing some of the best football he has produced in his career to date, as well as appearing generally happier and more confident. Nevertheless, he was left out of the side to face Wolves, sparking questions about what has happened.
