Passengers flying through airports have faced strict restrictions on liquids they can carry onto planes for more than 15 years.
It was back in August 2006 that airports suddenly imposed new rules following a foiled terror plot.
Now the Times and BBC report that the rules could be scrapped once airports are all equipped with new 3D cabin bag scanners. The Times says ministers are reviewing a trial of the technology at London Heathrow which has been on-going since 2017. American airports use technology too.
