Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has reportedly complained about Arsenal star Alexandre Lacazette in a recent meeting with Premier League referees.
The two teams played at the Emirates Stadium earlier this month, with the Gunners clinching a 2-0 victory after goals from Thomas Partey and Lacazette, the latter of which frustrated Schmeichel because of a stuttered run-up before he dispatched a penalty. Players are not allowed to completely stop their approach before making contact with the ball, although several players have started stuttering or jumping during their run-up.
The Danish international was furious with the former Lyon frontman's spot-kick but referee Anthony Taylor and VAR had no issue with the Frenchman's finish. According to the Daily Mail, Schmeichel brought up his issue with stuttering run-ups at a recent captains call with refereeing body PGMOL.

Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer was quick to defend Lacazette's penalty during his post-match analysis of the aforementioned clash, claiming that goalkeepers always tend to complain after conceding. "Well, he would have a problem, he’s a goalkeeper,” the former England centre-forward said on Premier League Productions.
“I don’t see any problem with that. Kasper won’t be happy that he stop-starts his run. You wouldn’t have known that, the way he took that penalty, he hasn’t scored for so long because that was taken with confidence. High into the net. The goalkeeper had absolutely no chance and there is nothing wrong with that. It’s a good penalty and it rightfully stood.”
Lacazette has notched four goals and seven assists in the Premier League this season, helping Mikel Arteta's side climb up to fourth in the current standings.
