Everton and Liverpool managers Sean Dyche and Jurgen Klopp, plus all other top flight managers, will not be speaking to the BBC Match of the Day tonight.
The aftermath of Gary Lineker being pulled as regular presenter from Saturday’s edition of the programme continues to go on. Lineker’s removal came in response following a tweet from the renowned pundit, where he criticised the Government’s immigration policy by saying their language was "not dissimilar to that used by Germany in the 30s".
Following the announcement, fellow pundits Alan Shearer and Ian Wright confirmed that they would not be working for the programme, as a show of solidarity with Lineker.
Other pundits such as Alex Scott, Jermaine Jenas and Micah Richards also announced that, if asked, they would not work on tonight’s Match of the Day programme.
A BBC spokesperson said: "Some of our pundits have said that they don't wish to appear on the programme while we seek to resolve the situation with Gary.
"We understand their position and we have decided that the programme will focus on match action without studio presentation or punditry."
Why won’t Sean Dyche, Jurgen Klopp and other managers be speaking to Match of the Day?
The PFA announced on Saturday morning that none of their players will be asked to take part in post-match interviews for Match of the Day.
Something similar will apply to managers, including Dyche and Klopp, with both normally talking to the BBC after matches. Given that BBC commentators are usually the ones to interview managers after matches, it is believed that no questions will be put to managers by the organisation.
Everton welcome Brentford to Goodison Park in a 3pm kick-off. Elsewhere, Liverpool travel to face Bournemouth in the lunchtime kick-off at 12.30pm.
There are six Premier League matches today, with all being shown as highlights in tonight’s Match of the Day programme.
No pundits, commentators or presenters will be involved, with the programme due to broadcast on BBC One at 10.20pm.
