One of the most pressing issues left to sort out for the Boston Celtics is Jrue Holiday’s role within the team in terms of starting. Whether Holiday should assume the role of a starter or embrace a sixth-man position off the bench has generated much debate among fans and analysts both despite coach Joe Mazzulla‘s words on the issue.
Holiday’s arrival in Boston is relatively recent, and his initial outings have exhibited moments of brilliance intermingled with occasional lapses that ought to sharpen in a short while. Holiday is widely regarded as one of the best defensive guards in the NBA, capable of making life miserable for an opponent’s top scorer, and he is an excellent floor general as well.
Does it make sense to have him lead the second unit, or should he start?
