There was a change of personnel on Saturday's episode of Starstruck as new judge Shania Twain was replaced on the panel by Ronan Keating, with viewers left speculating after neither gave any real explanation as to why the shake-up happened.
There was shock amongst ITV viewers and music fans alike when You're Still The One star was confirmed to be joining the ranks on the Saturday night guilty pleasure, replacing Sheridan Smith, who was a permanent fixture in the panel last year. So far on the new series of Starstruck, Shania has cast an eye and ear to all manner of soundalikes, including tribute to Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and Tom Jones.
And things got very weird for the country icon when she then had to sit and watch three singers transform into her right in front of her very eyes to perform one of her many hits.

Shania joined co-stars Adam Lambert, Beverley Knight and Jason Manford on last week's show, but it was then confirmed that she'd be missing in action for not just this week, but next week as well.
It's still not been explained fully why she was missing from the panel, other than Olly Murs telling viewers she was 'attending to superstar duties in Vegas.'
Confirming her absence but, without giving a reason why, Shania said: ""I unfortunately missed two Starstruck shows this season, but I'm hugely thankful and very lucky that a good friend of mine, Ronan Keating, was able to take my seat for those episodes!
"We've known each other for many years and I can tell you that Ronan will be the perfect judge – providing many laughs and great insight along the way. I'm SO excited to watch!"
And, speaking about standing in for Shania, Ronan commented: "Honoured that Shania entrusted me with the task of being a judge on Starstruck and I happily took on the baton offering what I hope was constructive but yet supportive feedback."
It has been confirmed that Shania will be back for the last two shows of the series, including the final.
