Much to the annoyance and disappointment of Call The Midwife fans, the series finale of the much loved drama won't air on Sunday night, as the BBC move it to make way for the BAFTAs.
After millions sat comfortably on their sofas to enjoy the 90 minute festive special on Christmas Day, series 12 of Call The Midwife kicked off in January and there has been plenty of drama to digest over the last six weeks, including a hard-hitting racism storyline, hung on Enoch Powell's infamous 1960s speech, the nuns of Nonnatus House being told that the Health Board could close them down and a teenage pregnancy plot, with Helen George's character Trixie Franklin at the centre of the action.
Trixie will play a huge part in the Call The Midwife finale as she marries Matthew, although Helen has hinted that things don't run smoothly for the couple before they head up the altar.

And things aren't running smoothly for the finale itself either, rather than following the penultimate episode onto screens on Sunday, February 19, it has been shelved, with the BAFTA Film Awards replacing it in its 8pm time slot.
When is Call The Midwife series finale on BBC?
The Call The Midwife series finale will now air on Sunday, February 26, with the move not going down well with fans. One unimpressed viewer took to Twitter on Sunday afternoon to write: "Moderately irritated at having to wait until next Sunday for the season finale of #CallTheMidwife which has been pushed back for the tedious luvviefest of the Baftas."
Equally annoyed, a second fumed: "BBC have a word with yourself why not put the stupid awards show on BBC 2? Its beyond belief to postpone the series finale for this rubbish ! Nobody wants to watch the backslapping, self congratulatory nonsense anyway," with another tweeting: "Still cannot believe I have to wait a week for call the midwife because films were made."
