The marriage he arrived in
He did everything right. He married the woman his family approved of, moved into the right kind of flat, showed up at every puja, every cousin's wedding, every office Diwali party with her on his arm. And somewhere inside that correct life, he started to disappear from himself, quietly, without drama, the way a fire goes out when the room runs out of oxygen.
