Why hay fever symptoms are so bad explained by doctor in 'severe' pollen warning

With winter behind us, summer is finally on the horizon, but it also is a dreaded time for hay fever sufferers.

Seasonal allergies ramp up in the sunny season as trees and plants release more pollen into the air. If you experience the ailment, you may already be experiencing flare-ups, despite the high period being a couple of months away.

Experts say that pollen levels are currently higher than usual, meaning sufferers are already experiencing some of the ailment's unpleasant symptoms. These include a runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing, coughing, sore throat and Scotland is even on alert for a "pollen bomb" with this weekend's sunny weather forecast.
