Jack Grealish has become one of England’s most talented footballers since making his debut for boyhood club Aston Villa in 2014. The Birmingham-born winger made headlines last year after making a £100m transfer to Manchester City from Villa.
The deal made Grealish the most expensive English player ever. He made his debut for England – after trading allegiances from the Republic of Ireland – during the UEFA Nations League in 2020, coming on as a substitute in a 0–0 draw against Denmark.
The City star is arguably one of the national team’s most-loved players, and England fans will no doubt remember the impact he had during the Euros campaign last year. He came on as a substitute during the memorable 2-0 win against Germany, where he was involved in both goals, most notably sending a perfect cross into Harry Kane, who headed the ball home to clinch the historic victory.
