Why Divock Origi is missing for his final Anfield game as Liverpool line-up confirmed vs Wolves

Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk are only fit enough for the bench as Liverpool host Wolves at Anfield.

The influential duo missed Tuesday's win at Southampton after both picking up injuries in the penalty shootout success against Chelsea in the FA Cup eight days ago, but are in the squad today after returning to training earlier this week.

However, it's Diogo Jota who starts up top alongside Sadio Mane and Luis Diaz as Joel Matip partners Ibrahima Konate once more in Van Dijk's absence at the back.

Mane and Diaz both sat out the win at St Mary's after their efforts at Wembley a few days earlier but return to the lineup as Liverpool go in search of a domestic treble this afternoon.

There's no place for Fabinho in the match-day squad as he continues his efforts to be fit for the Champions League final against Real Madrid next week in Paris and Jordan Henderson captains the side in midfield alongside Thiago Alcantara and Naby Keita.

Elsewhere, Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold return to take up their usual spots at left and right-back, respectively as Alisson Becker keeps his place in goal.

With a bench jam-packed with quality, there's no place for Divock Origi in the squad - he misses out with a minor muscle injury. The Belgian has made his last Premier League appearance for the Reds ahead of a summer move away from Meseyside.

Victory at Anfield could win Liverpool a 20th league title if Manchester City fail to beat Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa at the Etihad at the same time.

Liverpool : Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Konate, Robertson; Henderson, Thiago, Keita; Jota, Mane, Diaz.

Subs : Kelleher, Van Dijk, Milner, Firmino, Salah, Jones, Minamino, Elliott, Tsimikas.
