A woman was allegedly assaulted by her husband in Uttar Pradesh’s Domampur village on the evening of October 12 after he became angry over being served potato curry for dinner, with the attack leaving her critically injured and unconscious, police told PTI. The accused allegedly bit his wife at several places on her body and repeatedly struck her head with a stone before fleeing the scene, according to police.
The incident took place within the limits of Chauri police station, news agency PTI reported. The accused, identified as Om Prakash Vishwakarma, is absconding, and police are making efforts to arrest him, Circle Officer Rajiv Kumar Singh said.
