Should we be worried about Boston Celtics star forward Jayson Tatum‘s wrist injury going under the radar for as long as it did? The St. Louis native picked up the nondisplaced fracture of his wrist late in the 2021-22 NBA season around the time of the last NFL Superbowl, and it was clearly affecting him not only for the rest of the season but straight through to the 2022 NBA Finals.
Did it play a role in the Duke product’s game gradually getting worse the deeper the Celtics went in the 2022 NBA Playoffs? Was he risking further injury to avoid being seen as soft? Will the growing partnership with sports betting organizations and the league look at such a course of events unhappily?
The host of the “Locked On Celtics” podcast John Karalis was recently joined by Boston.com’s Tom Westerholm to talk over Tatum’s injury that he revealed in a recent interview with Bleacher Report’s Taylor Rooks.
Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear what they had to say about any potential fallout from Tatum’s wrist fracture among many other offseason topics.
