Camilla will receive the title of Queen following her coronation with King Charles III. She has been referred to as the Queen Consort since Charles’ accession to the throne.
During the ceremony at Westminster Abbey, the former Mrs Parker Bowles will be anointed and crowned alongside King Charles. Camilla was referred to as the Queen or Queen Camilla on the official invitation to the day, on the order of service, the Church of England’s prayers and on Royal Collection souvenirs.
On the eve of the coronation Buckingham Palace tweeted using the title “Queen Camilla” for the first time on the monarchy’s official account. Sharing footage of the floral splendour and scene set in the coronation theatre, the post read: “Westminster Abbey is ready for the #Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla”.
