Tottenham have the upper hand on Arsenal heading into the new Premier League campaign, according to former Gunner Mikael Silvestre.
Spurs pipped Arsenal to fourth place in the Premier League table last season, taking advantage of the Gunners' stuttering form late on in the campaign to secure a Champions League place ahead of their fierce rivals. Many are expecting the two teams to battle it out for a top four spot once again this season.
Both sides have been busy in the transfer window, with Arsenal bringing in four new players and Tottenham bringing in five. And neither team looks to be finished there, with links to plenty of other players too.

But even if Spurs do not make any further signings, they have the upper hand on their north London rivals, so say Silvestre. The former centre-back made 43 appearances during a two-year stint at the Emirates Stadium and is worried for his former club.
Speaking to Lord Ping, he admitted that head coach Antonio Conte would be key. He said: "Spurs certainly have the upper hand over Arsenal, we have to be realistic.
"The Arsenal fans should be worried, that’s for sure, because it’s his [Conte's] full second season and he’s had his frustrations but when all the players train with him, they get results. Spurs have signed some good players and Conte is a winning machine wherever he goes.
"For me the final top four will be the same as last season. Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham."
