Television schedules over the next few days are set to experience major changes following the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Many stations and channels have tweaked their programming as the nation enters an official period of mourning.
Britain's longest reigning monarch passed away at the age of 96 on Thursday, September 8. A statement from Buckingham Palace read: "The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow."
Welsh presenter Huw Edwards was close to tears as he announced the Queen's death live on BBC, with the channel pulling all its scheduled shows to broadcast special news coverage. ITV and many others followed suit out of respect for the late Head of State.
