The building society has an update for customers: "Payments from your account are delayed at the moment. Some payments to your account are also delayed.
"If you've sent money already or are waiting for money to arrive, you don't need to do anything, it's in a queue and will arrive ASAP.
"You can still send money, but this won't go straight through."
Nationwide affirmed that standing orders and direct debits are operating as intended in spite of this "payment delay".Customers should also be able to transfer funds between the various accounts offered by the building society.Cards are still accepted for payments, both in-person and online.Furthermore, Nationwide members will still be able to take out cash from ATMs.
This is the second outage for Nationwide in recent months.
