Why Ange WON'T raid Celtic for Kyogo and Co as Chris Sutton puts Tottenham fan straight over transfer theory

Chris Sutton reckons Ange Postecoglou won't risk his good relationship with the Celtic fans by raiding his former club for Kyogo and Co.

Postecoglou is looking to rebuild the North London side after leaving Parkhead for a crack at the English Premier League and there has been plenty of speculation he could move for the likes of Kyogo or Reo Hatate who were key pillars of his Treble-winning side. He made raiding his former hunting grounds a fixture of his transfer plan at Celtic and fans are waiting anxiously to see if bids arrive for their key men.

Kyogo in particular could be on the Tottenham agenda with Harry Kane out of contract in 12 months and potentially leaving this summer. But Sutton reckons the Australian will respect his former club and won't risk turning Celtic fans off to him by taking their side apart to strengthen his new team.

He was asked by a Tottenham fan on BBC 5 Live 606 if he could see Kyogo joining and he said: "I may be wrong here and you can play this clip back, but I don't think that Ange will go in for any of the Celtic players, based on the fact the Celtic fans still love him. If he went back and pinched their best players, they would not be happy.

"He'll do what's right for him. But the bottom line is Kyogo won't play ahead of Harry Kane.

Robbie Savage then pointed out Kane could leave while Spurs fan Rob then cast doubt over whether Kyogo was good enough to step into his shoes. Sutton responded: "He's a different player to Harry Kane. He's good enough to play in the Premier League. Is he good enough for Spurs? Yes."
