John Coleman believes Nathan Delfouneso will provide Accrington Stanley with another option in the forward areas as he revealed why the League One club opted to sign the former Bolton Wanderers man.
The 31-year-old departed Wanderers earlier this summer after his contract expired. He signed a two-year deal with the club in the summer of 2020 and was a free agent.
Over his two years at the club, Aston Villa youth team product and former Blackpool attacker Delfouneso turned out 67 times for the Whites. In that time, he found the back of the net 10 times.

Delfouneso spent the second half of last season on loan at League Two side Bradford City. He made half a dozen appearances at Valley Parade in that time and was released by Wanderers over the summer.
The bulk of his appearances at Wanderers came during the 2020/21 season when the Whites were ultimately promoted out of League Two at its conclusion. He started just seven games for the Whites last campaign.
He has now joined fellow League One side Stanley on a short-term deal and made his debut in the Papa Johns Trophy against Salford City earlier this week. Stanley boss Coleman believes it is a mutually beneficial arrangement for both the Wham Stadium club and the former Aston Villa and Blackpool man.
He said: "He was a person that we could sign. He's experienced, obviously he's got to get up to his fitness and speed. I think he'll benefit from 55 minutes tonight and he gives us another option that we're quickly running out of with strikers.
"I think it's a mutually beneficial situation. If he can get his fitness levels up to speed and play with the intensity that we want him to play with, then I think he'll be a good addition."
