Whole Foods Cabricharme cheese recall

Whole Foods Market is recalling certain Cabricharme cheese sold at 18 stores in seven states because the product contains an egg-derived ingredient that wasn’t declared on the store label. The recall is particularly important for shoppers with an egg allergy or severe sensitivity. Egg lysozyme, a protein derived from egg whites, is present in the cheese, and consuming it could cause a serious or potentially life-threatening allergic reaction in someone allergic to eggs. No allergic reactions had been reported in connection with the recalled cheese at the time of the announcement.
