The Britain's Got Talent winner was revealed during Sunday’s grand final on June 2.
The 17th season of the talent show offered a cash reward of £250,000 in addition to the opportunity to participate in the Royal Variety Performance.
During the live broadcast, viewers at home were encouraged to cast their votes on 10 finalists... but who was crowned the winner?
Who won Britain’s Got Talent 2024?
Sydnie Christmas took home the big prize.
With her performance of Over the Rainbow, Sydnie brought the competition to a close and earned a standing ovation from the tearful judges.
The judges praised a successful run of outstanding talent and struggled to choose a winner before the results were revealed.
Judge Bruno Tonioli said: “Impossible! The standard was so high. Everybody did an incredible job. I honestly couldn't call it.”
“Winning is important but getting into the final and, importantly, doing something great will actually make a difference,” Simon Cowell added.
As soon as Sydnie’s name was read out, she burst into tears and said: "I don't know what to say, I cannot believe the amount of love that I've felt.
“I am overwhelmed with love and it's the most amazing thing and I wish every person in this room feels the way I do with this love, it's amazing, thank you so much.”
Who were the runners-up?
Jack Rhodes took second place and dancers Abigail & Afronitaaa came in third.
Although both acts didn’t receive enough votes to win the competition, they still put on amazing performances.
With the most public votes, magician Jack Rhodes automatically advanced to the final. His performance included card tricks and dynamite, which blew judges away.
With their amazing Azonto routine to Brighter Days by Sigala, dance instructor Afronitaaa and her little student Abigail won themselves a spot in the final.
Their dance performance enthralled the audience, with all four judges standing up and dancing.
