The British Soap Awards were back after a two year break on Saturday night bringing a night of glitz and glamour and all the soap stars battling it out.
The event saw the biggest soaps and soap stars go head to head with Emmerdale coming up trumps on the night winning the top gong.
Host Phillip Schofield returned to roll out the red carpet at The Hackney Empire in London for actors in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors, reports The Mirror.
This year saw the awards become gender-neutral for the first time, which meant that the Best Leading Performer category saw the likes of Mark Charnock and Paige Sandhu battle it out – with Paige coming out on top, but Mark winning in the Dramatic Performance category.
