It's maybe not the competition fans wanted to see Celtic compete in, but expectations are high going into the clash
The Parkhead side make their Europa Conference League as they face Bodo/Glimt in UEFA's new third-tier competition.
Ange Postecoglou will go into the clash quietly confident and it's all about momentum for the Premiership leaders at the crucial time of the campaign.
Having already lifted the Premier Sports Cup, Celtic are still in the running for a quadruple - a trophy haul that few would have predicted when the Australian arrived.
But can they clear the first hurdle? The Record Sport top team has their say ahead of the clash.

The Norwegians scored one of the results of the 2021 when they stunned Roma 6-1 but Kjetil Knutsen has been forced to surrender four of his best players to big-spending suitors and a Celtic team motoring along at top speed under Ange Postecoglou will fancy themselves to score a comfortable win.

I think Celtic will have enough to win in front of their own fans. It is probably a good time to take on the Norwegians and I expect Ange Postecoglou’s side to take full advantage of that.

Celtic are full of confidence and the fact Bodo/Glimt are still in their pre season surely has to be a factor in favour of the home team.

The Hoops are spoiled for choice across the pitch and have the attacking edge which should see off the Norwegians by at least two goals to the good.

By no means is this underestimating a side whose performances in Europe last season made the continent stand up and take notice. But they’ve since lost key players including their top scorer and haven’t played a competitive game for two months. If Celtic can muster the type of performance that rattled Rangers a fortnight ago then they can build a decent lead to take to Norway. It will need the backline and Joe Hart to be on the ball for 90 minutes against the powerful Norwegians though.

Ange Postecoglou will be wary of the threat posed by the Norwegian side, but will go into the game confident given their recent relentless run of form. They may be entering the unknown against the visitors from the Arctic Circle, but expect another all-out attack from Celtic.

Late last year this would have been a real tough one for Celtic but Glimt have lost some key men over the winter and are in pre-season. They'll still carry a threat but the hosts should have enough to get the win.
