England's 3-0 win over Senegal in the last 16 of the World Cup has seen expectation and excitement grow.
Goals from Jordan Henderson, Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka saw them ease through to the quarter-finals in Qatar, with a tantalising clash with France up next.
That game will take place on Saturday, December 10 at 7pm .
Didier Deschamps’ men breezed past Poland 3-1 in their last-16 fixture and remain one of the favourites to lift the trophy later this month.
The French would present England with a stern test of their credentials, with Gareth Southgate's charges having cruised against Iran, Wales and Senegal, notwithstanding their draw with the USA.
Should they defeat France and progress to the semi-finals, they would face either Morocco, Spain, Portugal or Switzerland on Wednesday, December 14 at 7pm.
On the other side of the draw are Argentina, Brazil, Netherlands and South Korea .
Going on the world rankings, it would likely be a semi-final clash between the two South American heavyweights for a place in the showpiece.
The final, then, would take place on Sunday, December 14 , in Lusail, with a UK kick-off time of 3pm.
