The resignation of Sajid Javid and Rishi Sunak on Tuesday has cast further doubt on the future of Boris Johnson’s premiership. They are among 12 MPs who have resigned their ministerial roles in the last 24 hours.
The resignations come after it emerged Boris Johnson had not told the truth about the hiring of deputy chief whip Chris Pincher - as Mr Johnson did know about allegations of groping men when he gave Pincher the job.
