Who was Venu Chitale? Google Doodle celebrates Indian figure's 111th birthday

Google Doodle on Thursday celebrated the late Indian writer and broadcaster Venu Chitale's 111th birthday.

Chitale, who was from Mumbai, India, is best remembered as a writer and influential radio personality during the Second World War. She gained recognition for skillfully balancing her role at BBC Radio with her activism for India's independence.
