Who Sean Dyche could sign as 'three or four transfers' expected at Everton

Everton's wait for a new manager is drawing to a close as Sean Dyche prepares to take over at Goodison Park.

The former Burnley boss is expected to complete his internal media duties with the Blues on Saturday, paving the way for a possible official announcement this weekend. While supporters may be forced to wait a little while longer, it does not mean work behind the scenes has come to a standstill.

The ECHO understands Dyche, in a similar vein to Frank Lampard this time last year, may be working on transfer dealings alongside director of football Kevin Thelwell as deadline day edges ever closer.

A separate report from the i yesterday suggested there is hope the incoming Everton boss will be allowed to make 'three or four' new signings on the back of the £40million initial fee due to be received from Newcastle United for the services of Anthony Gordon. A centre-forward and winger are described as being priority positions as Dyche looks to turn the tide.

With this in mind, below is a look at potential players who could be Merseyside-bound as the Toffees prepare to reinvest capital received for their No.10.

Ryan Fraser

An individual who could be heading in the opposite direction to Gordon. The Newcastle United midfielder has reportedly been 'offered' to Everton as he struggles for game time at St James' Park.

Limited to just three Premier League starts this season, it seems likely the 28-year-old Scot would be in favour of an opportunity to increase his chances of regular first-team football at the top level.

Viktor Gyokeres

The Swedish striker has been in fine form for Coventry City this season, scoring 12 times and providing four assists in 28 Championship appearances. Still only 24 years of age, Gyokeres could prove to be a useful long-term acquisition as Everton look to fill the goalscoring void left by Richarlison.

It was yesterday suggested the Sky Blues are searching for £18m for their star man, a figure Everton could seemingly afford to pay on the back of Gordon's impending exit.

Che Adams

Everton are reported to have 'reignited' their interest in Southampton forward Che Adams, a player who first emerged as a potential target last summer. The 26-year-old has found the back of the net on eight occasions in all competitions, playing a key role in the Saints' run to the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup.

Adams arrived on the South Coast ahead of the 2019/20 campaign and has amassed three years worth of experience in the top-flight since signing for the Saints from Birmingham City.

Hakim Ziyech

The Moroccan international, who was brought to Chelsea by Lampard, has gradually fallen out of favour at the London club as their seemingly never-ending spending spree continues.

With an emphasis firmly placed on recruiting attacking talent, Ziyech's hopes of playing a starring role in Graham Potter's side are all but over. The Daily Mail recently suggested Everton are interested in the ex-Ajax star, but favour a loan move - with the view to making this permanent should survival be secured.

A loan fee could be required for an attacking option of this quality, though could prove worthwhile given the output provided by the 29-year-old within the final third.
