The 2023 men’s basketball NCAA Tournament bracket has been released.
Michigan State is heading back to the NCAA Tournament for its 25th straight appearance. The Spartans are one of eight Big Ten teams to hear their name called on Selection Sunday.

Illinois
Illinois is a No. 9 seed in the West Region, and it will face No. 8 Arkansas in the first round on Thursday in Des Moines, Iowa.
Indiana
Indiana is a No. 4 seed in the Midwest Region, and it will face No. 13 Kent State in the first round on Friday in Albany, N.Y.
Iowa
Iowa is a No. 8 seed in the Midwest Region, and it will face No. 9 Auburn in the first round on Thursday in Birmingham, Alabama.
Maryland
Maryland is a No. 8 seed in the South Region, and it will face No. 9 West Virginia in the first round on Thursday in Birmingham, Alabama.
Northwestern
Northwestern is a No. 7 seed in the West Region, and it will face No. 10 Boise State in the first round on Thursday in Sacramento, California.
Penn State
Penn State is a No. 10 seed in the Midwest Region, and it will face No. 7 Texas A&M in the first round on Thursday in Des Moines, Iowa.
Purdue
Purdue is a No. 1 seed in the East Region, and it will face the Texas Southern-Fairleigh Dickinson winner in the first round on Friday in Columbus, Ohio.
Michigan State
Michigan State is a No. 7 seed in the East Region, and it will face No. 10 USC in the first round on Friday in Columbus, Ohio.
Big Ten teams that didn't make NCAA Tournament
Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio State, Rutgers and Wisconsin failed to reach the NCAA Tournament this year.
