Twenty brand new celebrity contestants are taking to the MasterChef kitchen over the next six weeks and will be put through their paces as they are tasked with creating a variety of tasty dishes. The second round of BBC's Celebrity MasterChef kicked off on Tuesday (August 16) night with five famous faces putting their culinary skills to the test.
This week's line-up includes TV presenter and musician Gareth Malone, former World Boxing champion Chris Eubank, actor from Call the Midwife and EastEnders Cliff Parisi, musician and All Saints singer Mel Blatt and ITV2 Peckham's Finest reality TV star MoJo.
But only four celebrities could go through to the next round. So here are all the details on which star became the first to leave the second round of heats and when the next episode will be on our screens:
Who left Celebrity MasterChef last night?
Unfortunately Queen Mojo was the first celebrity eliminated from the second round of heats on Tuesday night. The TV personality's final "Dinner Party Dish", which was a prawn linguine served with brioche garlic bread, didn't win over judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode as it contained uncooked prawns.
In the episode the contestants were firstly tasked with the 'Under The Cloche' challenge and in the second round were asked to taste and guess ingredients in a popular Canadian dish before being asked to recreate it in 'The Street Food Challenge'. Their final plate of food had to be something they would cook for a dinner party.
Gareth Malone, Chris Eubank, Cliff Parisi and Mel Blatt now go through to the next stage of the competition which will air on Thursday. They'll be challenged with making a dish in just 15 minutes, preparing a recipe given to them by professional chef Freddy Forster and finally present a dish "full of nostalgia".
Only two of this week's contestants can go through to the semi-final alongside last week's winners Love Island star Faye Winter and McFly's Danny Jones. Celebrity MasterChef continues on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Thursday, August 18 from 8pm.
