Who is walking behind the Queen's coffin during the funeral procession

Thousands of mourners are expected to line the streets of London as a funeral procession for the Queen takes place following the service at Westminster Abbey.

After the coffin is carried onto the state carriage at 12.15pm, a procession will set off for Wellington Arch at Hyde Park Corner.

It will pass along Broad Sanctuary Parliament Square (south and east sides), Parliament Street, Whitehall, Horse Guards including Horse Guards Arch, Horse Guards Road, The Mall, Queen’s Gardens (south and west sides), Constitution Hill and Apsley Way.

The procession will last from around 12.15pm until 1pm where the Queen's coffin will then be taken to Windsor for a committal service burial later in the day.

A number of senior Royals and members of the Royal household will be taking part in the procession. The picture below shows who is among the group and the order they are walking.

The Queen's coffin will be led at the front by mounted police, representatives of George Cross, Commonwealth forces and armed forces, chiefs of defence staff, defence advisers, service chaplains and colonels.

They will be followed by a drum horse and state trumpeter, Major General Commanding the Household Division, Captains of the Bodyguard and pursuivants, heralds and kings of arms.

They will be followed by the Queen's household. They include the Director of Royal Collection, Comptroller Lord Chamberlain's Office, Master of the Household, Keeper of the Privy Purse, her Private3 Secretary, Master of the Horse, Lord Steward, Queen's Pages and the Palace Steward.

They will be followed by Queen Elizabeth II's coffin.

Behind the coffin will be an escort part of the Household Cavalry. They will be followed by the Queen's children the Edward Earl of Wessex, Andrew the Duke of York, Anne Princess Royal and King Charles III. Following will be Peter Phillips, Harry the Duke of Sussex and William the Prince of Wales. Also in this part of the procession is Sir Tim Laurence, the Duke of Gloucester and Earl of Snowdon.

Camilla the Queen Consort and Catherine the Princess of Wales will follow in a royal car. In a separate car will be Meghan the Duchess of Sussex and Sophie the Countess of Wessex.

Behind the royal cars will be the Field Officer in Bridge Waiting, Silver Stick in Waiting, Colones Coldstream Guards, Gold Stick in Waiting, Adjutant in Brigade Waiting, Silver Stick Adjutant, Crown Equerry and Members of the household of King and Prince of Wales.

At the rear of the procession will be representatives of civilian services and mounted police.

Following the procession, the Queen's coffin will be taken to Windsor. There will then be a committal service at 4pm at St. George's Chapel before a private burial in The King George VI Memorial Chapel at 7.30pm.
