Who is T Vishnudatta Jayaraman? Indian-American journalist commended by Virginia Senate for contributions to South Asian community

The Virginia State Senate has passed a resolution commending Indian‑American journalist T. Vishnudatta Jayaraman for his contributions to journalism and the South Asian community in the United States.

The resolution was adopted on las week during a session of the Senate. It recognised Jayaraman’s work as founder and editor‑in‑chief of the South Asian Herald, a news outlet established in October 2024 to serve as an authentic voice for the Indian‑American and broader South Asian community.
